Tales from the road; another "Pope Up!"
To start I; along with the other members of "B. Stone" would like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Jimmy Holley of Archer City, TX. A couple weeks ago when in route to a gig in Wichita Falls we experienced a minor setback with our trailer. It had been brought to my attention a couple days prior by our drummer/mechanic (for lack of a better word ha!) Pope (Drew) that we hadn't serviced our trailer with the proper maintenance so he volunteered to pack the bearings. Once we reached Olney city limits he informed me that he thought new drum heads would compensate for his labor. I disputed that statement and approximately one mile later the "gods" of the road had a laugh when we experienced an abrupt jolt. We then noticed our trailer tire was no longer mounted, but was passing us at a high speed. It managed to gather enough speed that it cleared a five wire fence and came to rest about 200 yards from where we pulled over on the shoulder.
This is where the madness began:
I began to retrieve the tire from the farmer's wheat field. Pope began trying to diagnose the cause of this mishap with anything other than his recent pack job. Smash (Monty) began trying to find coordinates of an auto shop. This later turned out to be in parts that looked like a vacant meth lab. Mingo (Bridget) begins calling everyone in her phone book and informing them that our trailer tire "exploded off our trailer!" Then to make matters better she decided to commemorate this occasion by capturing pictures with her phone. I contacted R.C. (Colby) and briefed him on our status and he volunteered to bring another trailer from Wichita. We began unloading the contents of our trailer on the shoulder. Little did we know the trailer that was in route were the dimensions of Rob Dyrdek's mini horse trailer. Despite all of our setbacks we arrived safely to our show and had a great time with the people of Wichita! So once again thanks to Mr. Holley for helping make that happen. Also to Stephen Turner whose trailer we've pulled as of late. People helping people; it's a beautiful thing. Also remember folks: leave the politics to the politicians, and the mechanics to the technicians, because drummers are a dime a dozen, but a new axle isn't! We love ya Pope!
Just blowin' smoke,
Brady Ash

I think any driver had to go through similar situations at some point in their life. People helping people is a wonderful thing indeed, drivers know better.

It's a good that you're fine after this incident, things could have gotten a lot. Mistakes in traffic are not allowed. I hope you've learned your lesson: check your car before engaging in on a long road.
